North Durham DIY's Mold Remediation: A Recipe for Disaster

5/3/2017 (Permalink)

Mold could be an invisible guest in your North Durham home.

After the storm that hit the Triangle area on April 25, 2017 many homeowners decided to go the DIY route. While this is usually a source of pride, and a way to save cash, there are some projects that should be left for the professionals. Mold remediation can be a hazardous and costly project, especially if the work must be done more than once to fix prior mistakes. Weather absolutely plays a factor in mold growth, from excessive rain to flooding wherever there are moisture intrusions you can have the potential of a problem. If your home has a musty, damp, or mildew smell, you may be experiencing the first signs of secondary growth, commonly referred to as mold.
